AMO’s STAR Center was pretty in pink with a purpose as the entire Dania Beach campus supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with not only their wardrobes, but also financial donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and participation in the More Than Pink Walk held to raise money for breast cancer research and support services.

Executive Director of the American Maritime Officers Plans Barbara Skrak led STAR Center’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness rally on October 30, with all employees wearing pink. The campus raised over $1,800 for breast cancer research through charitable donations from the staff.

Special thanks to the TECH Program apprentice engineers who led the effort to raise breast cancer awareness by organizing runners for the More Thank Pink Walk on October 17 to raise money for the cause.
