The Shenandoah Trader, an eight-year-old product tanker, was recently reflagged into the United States registry to participate in the newly formed Tanker Security Program being administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration. The 325,000 barrel tanker was purchased by U.S. Marine Management, LLC and is crewed in all licensed positions by American Maritime Officers.
American Maritime Officers members who participated in the re-flag ceremony for the Shenandoah Trader, here in Curacao in December, included Master Connor Wilcox and Chief Engineer Andrew Gray.
