The USNS Montford Point recently became the first Military Sealift Command ship to successfully traverse the new locks at the Panama Canal. American Maritime Officers members aboard the Montford Point as it transited the new large Cocoli and Agua Clara locks included Captain Ryan Arnold, Chief Engineer Robert Mussler, Third Mate Steven Corachan, First Assistant Engineer Michael Long, and Second Assistant Engineers Robert Johnson and Brandon Joest. Not pictured were Chief Mate Robert Sandner, Second Mate Thomas Kozarski, Third Mate Jason Davis, Electronics Officer Alexandra Perl and Third Assistant Engineers Eric Castle and Philip Faulkingham.
