Longtime AMO member and United States Navy veteran Ross Shimel celebrated National Maritime Day by volunteering on the SS Jeremiah O’Brien, one of the last remaining unaltered Liberty ships from World War II. The Jeremiah O’Brien is based in San Francisco and sailed in honor of both National Maritime Day and Memorial Day.
