American Maritime Officers members aboard the Empire State, here in Singapore during a scheduled shipyard period in July, included Third Assistant Engineer Donald Lay, First A.E. Abdul Ghaleb, Second A.E. Phil Sharp, First A.E. AJ Larrabee, Second Mate Jack Stancil, Third Mate Ethan Lister, Chief Engineer Jeremiah Skiles, Chief Mate Johnny Giuffre and Captain Kevin Griffith. With them are SIU members Alex Pall, Abdulkarim Mohamed and Luca Bracalenti.

The tanker Empire State is crewed by Intrepid Personnel and Provisioning, Inc. for APT Tankers and is manned in all licensed positions by American Maritime Officers.
