American Maritime Officers members aboard the Maersk Pittsburgh, here in Savannah, Ga. in September, included Captain Tim Kelly, Chief Engineer Byron Gibson, Third Mate Alex Amba, Second Mate Joe Bonnell, Chief Mate Sven Axelsson, Third Assistant Engineer Quinn Myrick, First A.E. George Schneider and Second A.E. Ricardo Nieves. Joining the crew were Kings Point Engine Cadet Caleb Braithwaite, AMO TECH Program Apprentice Engineer Nassim Dandashi and Kings Point Deck Cadet Rafael Esparza. The Maersk Pittsburgh is a containership enrolled in the U.S. Maritime Administration’s Maritime Security Program and is manned in all licensed positions by AMO.
