The October 1 regular membership meeting of American Maritime Officers will be held in the second-floor conference room at STAR Center at 1 p.m in Dania Beach, Fla. The meeting is being moved from its normal location at AMO headquarters to allow all members to attend a remembrance ceremony at the El Faro Memorial at 12:30 p.m. located at STAR Center.
October 1, 2025 marks the tenth anniversary of the tragic loss of the SS El Faro, which resulted in the loss of 33 lives, including 11 AMO members.
