Welcome to the exciting and prosperous world of maritime!

Mariners Row is returning to the 2026 ASCA National Conference in New Orleans and will once again bring together a cross-section of all aspects of the maritime industry – from international shipping companies to labor unions, shipbuilding and illustrious maritime training facilities – all with the goal of educating school counselors about the career opportunities available to students who may have never been exposed to a life at sea.

Learn what it takes to become a ship captain, an engineer or even a chef on a vessel that travels the world or delivers precious cargo within the United States. In the maritime industry, there is a boat and a role for everyone. And the financial compensation in the industry is unmatched!

U.S. Merchant Mariners right out of training can make six figures in salary in just six months of work! With flexible schedules that vary from 21-to-90 days on ship, mariners get six months of vacation to do whatever they wish.

Mariners Row will consist of more than 40 exhibit booths with professionals eager to answer any questions you might have about the maritime industry – from government and military work to commercial mariners delivering fuel and goods that power our every day lives. All of the nation’s maritime academies will also attend the event, along with vocational training schools ready to provide a variety of entryways into our industry for prospective students.

Last year in Long Beach was a real party and Mariners Row promises to up the ante in the Big Easy! Make sure to stop by and enjoy tons of giveaways, live music, our 360-degree Photo Booth and information on a life-changing career. Be sure to ask about getting a drink on us as Mariners Row will host a Happy Hour after exhibit hours at the Convention Center.
