In August, American Maritime Officers officially took command of the MV Cape Hudson, a Ready Reserve Force vessel for the United States Maritime Administration now operated by Tote Services Inc., here in San Francisco. AMO members working aboard the Cape Hudson to get her ready for regulatory inspection included Captain Douglas Garee, Chief Mate Sean Hall, Third Assistant Engineers Lucas Farmer and Michael Watson, Chief Mate Robert Wattam and Third Mate Dexter Turija. With them are members of the SIU unlicensed crew from the Cape Hudson and Cape Horn. AMO represents all licensed officers aboard the Cape Hudson and Cape Horn.
