AMO participated in the Cal Poly Maritime Champions Tour with the leadership of Cal Poly and Cal Poly Maritime this month as accomplishments of cadets and students were highlighted in presentations to alumni, benefactors and state lawmakers. AMO President Willie Barrere met with Cal Poly President Jeff Armstrong. Barrere and AMO West Coast Representative Alex Butler also met with the Dean for the School of Engineering, Dr. Dinesh Pinisetty; the Vice President of Cal Poly, Solano Campus in Vallejo, Dr. Corey Cook; and Cal Poly Maritime Academy Superintendent Rear Adm. Eric Jones (USCG retired) while supporting the event. Under the leadership of President Armstrong and Superintendent Jones, work is underway to aggressively grow enrollment at Cal Poly Maritime and AMO is proud to support this drive.
