In August, Military Sealift Command recognized the USNS PFC Dewayne T. Williams (T-AK 3009), USNS Lewis and Clark (T-AKE 1) and USNS Seay (T-AKR 302) for operational support in Native Fury 2020 and Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore (JLOTS), February to April 2020. All three ships provided support for the biennial exercise Native Fury and JLOTS. Native Fury demonstrates the united partnership between the U.S Armed Forces and the United Arab Emirates. The crews of the USNS Williams, USNS Lewis and Clark and USNS Seay, conducted around-the-clock fueling, lift-on/lift-off, and roll-on/roll-off operations, demonstrating the ability to conduct in-stream offload when a pier is unavailable and MSC's commitment to joint partnerships within the region. The crew members demonstrated remarkable operational capability and completed the mission despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. BZ to the crew and all joint partners involved. The USNS Williams is operated for MSC by Crowley Liner Services and the USNS Seay is operated for MSC by U.S. Marine Management, Inc. American Maritime Officers represents all licensed officers aboard both ships.
