Dues "check-off" eliminated
Effective December 1, 2007, AMO Dues "Check-Off" will come to an end. This step is being taken with approval of the AMO National Executive Board as a result of confusion, administrative problems and election eligibility questions. The AMO National Executive Board has taken corrective action and reached agreements with all AMO contracted companies which currently have check off to eliminate the dues check-off provisions from all such contracts.

All AMO members and applicants presently on dues "check-off" will receive a letter from the AMO National Accounting Office advising them of their dues status on or about January 1, 2008. Any members or applicants interested in learning their dues status prior to receiving the letter can do so at anytime simply by calling Karla O'Dea, AMO Member Services at 1-800-362-0513 Extension # 1053.

All AMO members and applicants affected by this change are reminded of their obligations under Article V, Section 1, paragraph (g) of the AMO National Constitution which states: "it shall be the duty of each individual member to assume all responsibilities of maintaining membership in good standing."
