    New jobs for AMO on new U.S.-flag tanker
    'MV Rhode Island' joins Maersk Line commercial fleet to serve spot markets
    Pictured above is the MV Roy Maersk, sistership to the MV Maersk Rhode Island. Maersk Line Ltd. expected to take delivery of the Rhode Island Sept. 6. The double-hulled tanker is a newbuild from China and will be registered in Norfolk, Va., upon delivery. Maersk plans to operate the vessel in international spot charter markets. American Maritime Officers will provide all of the licensed officers aboard the ship.
