American Classic Awards Contract For 'Columbia Queen'
American Classic Voyages Co. (AMCV) awarded the contract for improvements
to and outfitting of the cruise vessel 'Columbia Queen' to U.S. shipyard
Nichols Brothers Boat Builders of Whidbey Island, Wash.
U.S. Doubles Offshore Enforcement Zone To 24 Miles
The federal government will expand the U.S. offshore enforcement zone--the
area in which the Coast Guard and other authorities can board foreign
vessels and enforce U.S. law--from the current 12 miles to include waters
within 24 miles of the coast, according to a report from the Congressional
Information Bureau.
