Union secures increases in contract negotiations

American Maritime Officers recently completed contract negotiations with Transoceanic Cable Ship Company and Osprey Ship Management.

AMO members serving on the contract committee with Transoceanic were Chief Engineer James Ross of the C/S Durable and Capt. Jeffery Sanders of the C/S Decisive. Included in the agreement are annual across-the-board increases, a substantial increase for first officers and added vacation days for each year.

AMO members serving on the contract committee with Osprey were Capt. Gary DeVries and Chief Engineer Brad Dillman of the M/V Calvin P. Titus. The agreement includes annual across-the-board wage increases with a substantial first-year increase and added vacation days for each year of the contract.
