    AMO jobs secure in Great Lakes Fleet sale
    Union contract intact as Canadian National Railway buys Great Lakes Transportation
    The 1,000-foot self-unloading bulk carrier Edgar B. Speer is one of eight vessels formerly operated by Great Lakes Fleet Inc., which was acquired by Canadian National Railway through the purchase of Great Lakes Fleet's parent firm. The vessels will now be operated by Key Lakes Inc. The American Maritime Officers collective bargaining agreement covering the vessels remains intact--no changes were made to the agreement signed last year between AMO and Great Lakes Fleet Inc.
