          The officers and crew members aboard the oceanographic research ship USNS Sumner received the following cable from Vice Admiral Metzger of the Navy's Seventh Fleet in April as the vessel completed its assignment in the western Pacific Ocean. The USNS Sumner is operated under Military Sealift Command charter by Dyn Marine Services and manned in all licensed positions by AMO.
