Current operator withdraws charter award protest, files lawsuit
The USNS Yano is one of nine large medium-speed roll-on/roll-off vessels covered by a Military Sealift Command operating charter awarded to American Overseas Marine Corp. in September 2004. On Jan. 5, MSC directed AMSEA to prepare to assume management of the nine ships.
