• Byrd Provision Seeks To Assist U.S. Producers In Steel Dumping Cases
          A year-end appropriations bill urged import relief for the U.S. steel industry. The steel provision was tacked onto the House-Senate conference report on legislation to fund the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education and related agencies. The provision was sponsored by West Virginia Democratic Senator Robert Byrd, a leader in the ongoing fight to restrain unfairly traded steel imports in U.S. markets.
